Sally Ride
Sunday, April 7, (1 p.m.) — A special Total Solar Eclipse weekend portrayal of Sally Ride will be presented by Rose Gabriele. At age 32, Ride became the youngest American astronaut and the first American female astronaut in space.
Georgia O’Keeffe
Wednesday, May 29 — Ruth Pangrace from Women in History will portray Georgia O’Keeffe, who is often referred to as the Mother of American Modern Painting. She was a revolutionary American artist known for her stylized paintings of New York skyscrapers, New Mexico landscapes and enlarged flowers.
Calamity Jane
Monday, June 3 — Calamity Jane will be portrayed by Linda Witowski from Women in History. Martha Jane Cannary Burke set herself apart from other women in that she could work and socialize with hard and tough frontiersmen: from digging for gold, drinking in bars, cussing and dressing like a man, she was mostly accepted by them.

Chief Standing Bear
Thursday, June 6 (10:30 a.m.) — From his birth on the banks of the Niobrara River in Nebraska until his death in 1908, Chief Standing Bear, portrayed by Taylor Keen, spent his life in constant struggle to gain equality and justice for our nation’s Native Americans.
First Lady Florence Harding
Monday, June 10 — Ruth Pangrace from Women in History will portray Florence Harding, wife of President Warren G. Harding. Energetic and strong-willed, she paved the way for “modern” first ladies who would follow her.
Women’s Army Corps
Monday, June 17 — Molly Sampson brings the Women’s Army Corps (WACS) to life as she unveils the untold stories of WACS during World War II. Experience the challenges, triumphs and sacrifices of the first women to enlist in the U.S. Army.

Ida B. Wells-Barnett
Monday June 24 — Sherrie Tolliver from Women in History will portray Ida B. Wells-Barnett, who was known nationally and internationally as a “crusader for justice.” She traveled throughout the United States and foreign countries raising awareness of oppression of African Americans and women.
“Looking Over the President’s Shoulder”
Thursday, Aug. 8 — Tyrek Hyde will perform his one-man show “Looking Over the President’s Shoulder” about Alonzo Fields, who served as a White House chief butler to four U.S. presidents.

Julia Child
Monday, Aug. 12 — Ruth Pangrace from Women in History will portray Julia Child, who generated passionate interest in cooking with her expertise in French cuisine and her larger-than-life personality.
1800s Lakeside Lady Loretta Egan Bruce
Monday, Aug. 26 (7 p.m.) — Anne McEvoy will share Loretta Egan Bruce‘s recollections of some of her earlier camp experiences as a young girl. She will tell a few stories about Lakeside’s more colorful speakers and guests, note the remarkable changes to the community, and reflect on the significant spiritual, educational, cultural, social and personal experiences in one woman’s life set against the unfolding of some of the most dramatic periods in American history.
