Boating in Lakeside Chautauqua is quickly approaching

Spending time on the water is a family favorite when visiting Lakeside. Sail the open waters and enjoy the beautiful Lakeside Chautauqua shoreline from a new perspective – out on the lake. Whether sailing on your own or paddling with a partner, boat rentals offer a unique water experience for anyone.

Lakesiders have an opportunity to participate in an array of boating events as well throughout the 2015 Summer Season.

Wooden Boat Rides: Wooden boat rides are offered every Monday and Thursday, beginning June 22 until August 27, 2015. These 30-minute boat rides begin at 6 p.m. with the last ride departing at 7:30 p.m.

In addition, hour-long sunset cruises aboard Amazing Grace, a fully restored 1937 Richardson Cruiseabout, take place at 8 p.m. Monday and Thursdays.

Reservations for both boat rides are taken at the Lakeside Information Center, located at the Pavilion, by contacting (419) 798-4461, ext. 266 or [email protected].

Kids Setting Sail: Children ages 5-10 can learn to sail in our Kids Setting Sail program from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets may be purchased at the dock for $5 each. Parents must sign a permission slip at sign-up. Squirt guns and pirate attire are encouraged. Come prepared to get wet.

Sailing Lessons: Week-long sailing lessons are offered for novice sailors. Guests can obtain information about sailing lessons at the Lakeside Information Center. Guests can make a sailing lesson reservation by emailing [email protected] or by calling (419) 798-4461, ext. 266.
