Craig Morgan headlines Lakeside’s Summer Splash Family Weekend

While Lakeside Chautauqua’s summer events typically span Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the community is extending the fun in 2025. Save the date for our new Lakeside Summer Splash Family Weekend, held after Labor Day from Sept. 5-7.

Headlining the weekend will be an electrifying concert with country music star Craig Morgan at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 in Hoover Auditorium. Tickets to the concert also include access to Lakeside’s pool and miniature golf course all weekend long. But you must purchase a ticket if you want to splash in the pool, sink a hole-in-one or sing along to your favorite country songs.

With the Lakeside gates open, the Lakeside Summer Splash Family Weekend gives an opportunity for all to explore Lakeside. Also taking place over the weekend that doesn’t require the purchase of a ticket is the West Ohio Corvette Show on Saturday, a movie in Orchestra Hall, pickleball, tennis, shuffleboard, splash park, storybook trail, parks, playgrounds, basketball, sand volleyball, walking trail, shopping, dining and a Community Worship Service on Sunday. Parking Passes and additional Gate Passes to enter Lakeside are not required for this after-season weekend.

Craig Morgan
7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 | Hoover Auditorium

A multi-faceted entertainer, Morgan has made a name for himself as a country music icon, TV personality, author, celebrated outdoorsman and patriotic Army veteran.

One of country music’s best-loved artists, Morgan has amassed nearly 2.5 billion career streams and charted over 25 songs on Billboard, thrilling crowds with signature hits, including “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “International Harvester,” “This Ole Boy,” “Soldier” and the multi-week No. 1, “That’s What I Love About Sunday.”

In 2022, Morgan released a gripping memoir, God, Family, Country, revealing never-before-heard stories about how he worked alongside the CIA as a solider in Panama, forged his own path to country music stardom, and lived his life by the deepest values: God, family and country.

That same year, Morgan put his survival skills to the test on the TV series “Beyond the Edge.” On the show, nine celebrities lived in the dangerous jungles of Panama and faced off in epic adventures as they pushed themselves to go far beyond their comfort zone and raise money for their chosen charities.

In late 2023, Morgan released his newest project Enlisted, a six-song collection of reimagined hits and brand-new songs featuring collaborations with Trace Adkins, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Gary LeVox, Blake Shelton and Lainey Wilson.

Morgan received one of country music’s highest honors when he was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Prior to becoming a country music star and TV sensation, Morgan spent 17 years serving our country in the Army and last year enlisted in the Army Reserve, continuing his military career as a Warrant Officer. Morgan remains an avid supporter of America’s military personnel and has made more than 16 overseas trips to perform for our troops. He is a member of the U.S. Field Artillery Hall of Fame and recipient of the USO Merit Award.

In 2018, he was awarded the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, one of the highest awards the Department of the Army can bestow upon a civilian, in recognition of his significant dedication to our military men and women around the world. He remains committed to supporting active duty and veteran members of our military through work with Operation Finally Home, the USO and more.

Morgan toured with Emily Ann Roberts, Deana Carter and Trace Adkins during Blake Shelton: Friends & Heroes 2025.
