Honor Your Loved One this Memorial Day Weekend

Every year at the Memorial Day weekend Hoover Worship Service, we formally remember loved ones who have died over the past year. Together as a Lakeside community, we remember the loves ones that we have lost and hold them close to our hearts.

This year at the Hoover Community Worship on Sunday, May 27, you can honor your deceased loved ones by contributing to the beautiful flowers that will be on stage for the worship service. Gift a gift of $45 or more to the Lakeside Annual Fund, and flowers in your loved one’s memory will be on display during the service before they are planted in the Trinity Garden at Chautauqua Park, near the Inturning sculpture. The name of your loved one will also be included on a list in the bulletin for the service.

Chautauqua Park is a sacred place in Lakeside; cremains of Lakesiders have been placed in the Memorial Garden there, and the beautiful scenery offers Lakesiders a place to reflect and find peace. Supporting these special flowers in memory of beloved Lakesiders is not only a way to remember and honor them, but doing so will also help bring new life to Chautauqua Park this spring.

If you would like to support the display and planting of these flowers, you can give a gift online today or send a check to Lakeside Chautauqua, Attn: Advancement, 236 Walnut Ave., Lakeside, OH 43440. If giving online, please include the name of the Lakesider you are remembering in the comment box. If sending a check, please write their name in the memo line.
