Kind Portrait Program: About Matthew Greene Photography

Matt Greene and his wife Lisa have visited Lakeside since the mid 1980s when friends introduced them to its unique chautauqua experience.  Each year when they visited they’d make “shopping for a cottage” part of their agenda. After a long search they did purchase a perfect little cottage on Poplar! Shortly thereafter grandchildren started to appear, necessitating more bedrooms with space for cribs.  And so it was that “Picture Perfect” was moved to Peach this past May.

Matt’s Bachelors of Fine Arts degree focused on Photography and Communications. He started his career at a Commercial Photography studio in Cleveland, segued to Advertising, followed by another chapter as a Marketing Communications Executive at Eaton Corporation. Matt never set his camera down though and after retiring early from Eaton a few years ago returned to his passion full time.

With the onset of the pandemic Matt began offering socially distant porch portrait sessions for FREE in exchange for a donation to Lakeside.  Word of mouth spread and Matt decided to expand his porch portraits to a full portrait session in exchange for a donation to one of four non-profits close to his heart (Lakeside, Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, Cleveland Institute of Art, Hope for Kabingo). Matt refers to this as his “Kind Portrait” program.

For examples of Matt Greene’s work and to inquire about a “Kind Portrait” session for yourself or your family, please visit his website KindPortraits.com . Due to COVID all portraits will be taken outside, socially distant. Depending on Mother Nature, these portrait sessions might be best scheduled during the spring/summer of next year.
