The Lakeside Business District adds vibrancy to the Lakeside experience. Walnut Plaza and Second Street are gathering places for guests to enjoy a cup of coffee, grab a donut or ice cream cone, and shop for a Lakeside souvenir.
As we enter 2025, several storefronts will be changing in the business district.

First, Gifts That Give Back has moved to 123 W. Second Street, the site of the former Marilyn’s Two. Special thanks to owners Cassie and Charlie Davis for all their work and dedication to the Lakeside community thus far.
They’re renovating their new space and have also added accommodations to the second floor that can be rented for overnight stays. Their original location at 209 W. Second Street will soon be available as a rental space for a potential business.

Second, Lakeside wants to thank Betsey and Chris Langford for starting Poolside. It has been the go-to place near the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus to order hot dogs, cold drinks, treats and Hawaiian Ice.
Next summer, the Langfords will no longer operate the business. Located at 521 E. Sixth Street, individuals can contact Betsey and Chris at at clangfo85@icloud.com for information about the business and operations. The space will need to be filled by summer.

Third, Lisa and John Maharry have been running The Fine Print since 2023. Special thanks for all their hard work and contributions to the Lakeside community. The Fine Print is a Lakeside staple where Lakesiders of all ages go to find books and get lost in and learn from while on their vacation.
Starting in January, the storefront space on the corner of Second and Walnut will be available for a new potential business. The current book inventory is being sold at a new shop next summer. More information will be coming soon.
Lakeside is committed to filling these spaces before the 2025 Summer Season and is actively speaking with potential business owners and Lakesiders this winter. If you have information about a potential business or are interested, please reach out to Chief Administrative Officer, Meg Johnson at meg@lakesideohio.com.
