At the Lunch & Learn session on February 19, we enjoyed the opportunity to connect and discuss how we are preparing for the 153rd Chautauqua Season. For those who were unable to join, we missed you.
During the session, Charles reported that projects and preparations for the upcoming season are on track for completion by Mother’s Day. Areas discussed included:
- Fall and winter improvements to the Pavilion, Hoover, Bettinger Park and Phase 1 of the Streets Project
- The Hotel Lakeside Lobby Refresh project is underway with painting in progress and furniture being ordered
- The Campground Expansion is on schedule to add 17 new sites before the start of the season
- The revised plan for Cherry Park, incorporating community feedback, will be voted on by the board this month
- The opening of WB Pizza will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, February 27
- Operational improvements including a new work order system, building checks, preventive maintenance and more
- Seasonal hiring is underway with many positions already filled
