Katalin Domotorffy Concludes Her Service in Recreation

Lakeside Chautauqua announces the resignation of Director of Recreation & Wellness Katalin Domotorffy.
For over three years, Domotorffy has provided exceptional leadership to the Recreation Pillar, overseeing a team of 85 summer employees and providing Lakesiders with opportunities to continue their wellness journey while visiting the grounds.
Domotorffy introduced all ages to new classes like fencing, archery, logrolling, water adventures on the lake, basketball clinics, checkers tournaments and yoga retreats.
“Katalin has engaged the community and community leaders in recreation and was a strong collaborator and leader across the organization,” shared Lakeside Chautauqua President & CEO Charles Allen. “Lakeside can build off the foundation she laid over the past three years. I would like to extend a BIG thanks to Katalin for her work, dedication and passion for Lakeside.”
Domotorffy connected with community groups like the Society for Old Salts, Lakeside Wooden Boat Society, Lakeside Shuffleboard Club, and Tennis and Pickleball groups, sparking collaborative work between staff and volunteers.
Because of her enthusiasm for Lakeside and wellness, more people were inspired to make a splash in the pool, play on the courts, learn from a wellness seminar, take a fitness class and enjoy intergenerational recreation opportunities.
“To me, the Lakeside community and Lakeside team are the most valuable of everything and the greatest level of importance,” shared Domotorffy. “My time at Lakeside has enriched my family’s and my life in so many ways, and I hope I shared that back tenfold. I feel blessed to have had this opportunity and am grateful for the special Lakeside moments and people.”
Thank you, Katalin, for your service in enhancing the Recreation Pillar and your passion for Lakeside and its people. You will be missed.
