Review Proposed Rules & Regulations Changes

Dear Fellow Lakesider,

I hope your holidays were joyous and memorable. As Chair of the Municipal Services Committee (MSC), I want to inform you about rule changes we will present to The Lakeside Association Board for approval in February.

Last spring, as the Streets and Drainage Task Force (SDTF) was preparing to begin Phase 1 of the Street Repaving Project, the group suggested it would be a good time to draft new rules to protect the multimillion-dollar investment in the community’s streets. The MSC heard that concern and agreed that something was needed.

We began drafting rules to establish standards and require inspections of road repairs resulting from future projects impacting the road rights-of-way. For example, utility line installations or construction using track vehicles may damage the roadway.

We presented this idea at the public Board meeting in August and used the community input we received to help create an initial draft. This draft was presented to the SDTF for input. The MSC then presented updated language to The Lakeside Association Board at its November meeting. MSC proposed final discussion and potential approval at the Board’s February 2026 meeting. February approval is necessary to ensure the updated rules can be included in the LPOA directory.

Review the proposed changes.

Sincerely,

Steven Brunot
Chair, Municipal Services Committee
