We’ve compiled a list of the top 10 things you should know:

1. Lakeside’s Sesquicentennial Celebration is right around the corner! Don’t just visit one time this summer, plan multiple trips to Lakeside to honor the past, celebrate the present and look to the future. Look out for 2023 events on Lakeside’s calendar!

2. Over the last six months, Lakeside has made a focused effort to keep you up to date on announcements, news and activities. We’d love to hear your feedback. Please take this quick 3-minute Communications Survey before Monday, Jan. 2.

3. A Streets and Drainage Advisory Task Force has been assembled to help with Lakeside’s infrastructure project. This Task Force is a group of community members, board members and staff. Read more at here.

4. Thank you to all who celebrated Lakeside Christmas with us! The Lakeside grounds were buzzing with energy and Christmas cheer as the community gathered. The fun continues with the Donut Drop on Saturday, Dec. 31.

5. This year’s Lakeside Impact Fund goal is $1.1 million, with the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2023. To date, the community has raised $720,000. Your donations to Lakeside year after year support the Chautauqua pillars, historic buildings and beautiful grounds. To give a gift before year-end, click here.

6. Collectively on #GivingTuesday, Lakesiders generously supported the endowment, Chautauqua pilllars, grounds and historic buildings. On November 29, over 160 Lakesiders opened their hearts and collectively gave more than $220,000 in celebration of #GivingTuesday.

7. After each Lakeside Association Board meeting, the Board posts a summary about the meeting and the actions taken. Download the November Board Report here. 

8. We’ve completed our 2021-22 Audited Financial Statements and Annual Report and have posted on the website. You can also review the financial snapshot for fiscal year 2021-22. Lakeside’s fiscal year is April 1-March 31. Download the reports here. 

9. To keep the Lakeside community connected throughout the year, Lakesiders can participate in Lakeside Online. We recently launched an Advent Study with 90 participants, and book discussions and Chautauqua pillar highlights will take place starting in January. Sign up for these free virtual conversations here. 

10. The New Year brings excitement for Lakeside’s 2023 Chautauqua season. We’re working diligently to finalize programs and set admissions and parking fees. Stay tuned for more information.
