Welcome to The Front Porch, the official blog of Lakeside Chautauqua!
Since 1873, Lakeside Chautauqua has welcomed families to Ohio’s Lake Erie shore to take part in a Chautauqua experience dedicated to nurturing mind, body and spirit.
Lakeside is a year-round destination, although our summer Chautauqua program draws families from across the world to participate in a variety of spiritual experiences, educational lectures, cultural arts programming and recreational pursuits.
More than 900 Victorian cottages line the quaint streets of our waterfront community. Most have a cozy front porch, perfect for relaxing, reading, drinking iced tea, playing card games and especially for welcoming conversation.
So, welcome to our Front Porch! This blog will feature Lakeside stories, travel tips, how-to articles, snapshots, guests’ experiences and interviews with staff.
To create the conversation, share your thoughts and pictures, or tell us why your family returns to Lakeside each year. Your stories make our conversation authentic and true, allowing others to learn and grow. So, let your creativity and imagination run wild.
