Do I need to purchase a Chautauqua Pass during the off-season?
During the off-season, a Chautauqua Pass is not required to enter the grounds of Lakeside. The Lakeside gates will be in operation (and a Chautauqua Pass is required) over Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28, 2018) and during the Chautauqua programming season (June 16-Sept. 3, 2018). You are welcome to explore Lakeside at your leisure during the fall, winter and spring months. Please note that most of the gates close at approximately 8 p.m. and open at approximately 6 a.m. during the off-season, however the Fifth Street Gate is accessible 24 hours per day. For information on 2018 Chautauqua Pass fees for the summer, as well as our Saturday Chautauqua Pass, visit the Admission & Chautauqua Pass Schedule page.

Where can I park in the winter and spring?
Lakeside offers limited parking to its guests and residents year-round. During the off-season, guests are invited to park at one of Lakeside’s various parking lots, including the South Gate Parking Lot, near the Lakeside Schoolhouse, behind Hoover Auditorium, near Bradley Temple, the Fountain Inn and Hotel Lakeside, as well as along each street that does not have designated parking. During the off-season, an Auto Pass is not required to enter the grounds of Lakeside. For information about parking during the summer season, visit our Admission & Chautauqua Pass Schedule page.

What businesses are open during the off-season?
Year-round businesses in Lakeside (with limited hours) include Marilyn’s Two, Sloopy’s Sports Café and the Lakeside Laundromat. All Lakeside businesses will be open for Memorial Day weekend (May 26-29, 2017) and the Chautauqua programming season (June 17-Sept. 4, 2017).

How can I stay connected to Lakeside year-round?
Stay up-to-date on the latest news and pictures at Lakeside Chautauqua by signing up to receive our monthly e-newsletter and connecting with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Even in the off-season, there are stories to share. Follow our blog.

Where can I view Homeowner & Campground announcements?
Lakeside homeowners and Campground residents are encouraged to check the Homeowners & Campground Updates page throughout the year. During the off-season, we include information about gates, our House Watch program, trash and recycling services, and leaf pick-up schedules.

These are just a few of the many ways to spend time with family and friends during the off-season at Lakeside. How do you spend time at Lakeside during the winter and spring months? Do you plan a visit back to Lakeside to attend any of our upcoming events? Tell us in the comments below.
