A new year has officially arrived, and with it, new excitement for the coming summer at Lakeside. This year is poised to be another outstanding season, with some of Lakeside’s favorite performers returning and brand new faces that are sure to deliver. We hope you’re just as excited as we are!
To entertain and thrill Lakesiders who spend Memorial Day weekend with us, Masters of Soul brings their upbeat Motown and soul music to the Hoover Auditorium stage. Take the ultimate stroll down memory lane as this talented group recreates the style, choreography and sound of The Temptations, Gladys Knight, Steve Wonder and more on Saturday, May 23.
To kick off our ‘British Invasion’ themed weekend, Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone returns to Lakeside on Saturday, June 20 to perform popular hits from the 1960s, including “There’s a Kind of Hush,” “I’m Into Something Good” and “I’m Henry 
VII, I am.”
Once again, Lakeside is dedicating select Wednesday evenings to family-friendly performances that start at 7:30 p.m. Highlights of our Family Entertainment Series include DuffleBag Theatre “Peter Pan” on June 24, The Jason Bishop Show on July 1, award-winning juggling duo The Passing Zone on July 8, and Alex Zerbe “The Zaniac Comedy Show” on July 15.
Neil Berg’s widely acclaimed “100 Years of Broadway,” a musical revue of Broadway’s most celebrated shows, takes place on Friday, June 26. The show recreates the greatest moments from the finest shows, such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar and more.
On Saturday, June 27, Wynonna & The Big Noise, make their return to Lakeside. Respected by the millions of fans who are drawn to her music and undeniable talent, Wynonna’s rich and commanding voice has sold more than 30 million albums. As one-half of the legendary mother/daughter duo “The Judds,” Wynonna was once dubbed by Rolling Stone as “the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline.”
Brass Transit: The Musical Legacy of Chicago returns on Friday, July 10 to pay tribute to the decades-long, multi-platinum songbook of the 1960s band, Chicago. Hits like “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “You’re the Inspiration” continue to leave crowds in awe.
Multi-talented comedian, actor, television writer, author, and musician Paul Reiser brings his comic insights on life to Lakeside for the first time on Saturday, July 11. He currently stars in two hit shows for Netflix, “Stranger Things” as Dr. Sam Owens and “The Kominsky Method.”
The Billboard-charting quartet, Sons of Serendip, won the hearts of fans and judges alike as finalists on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” with their ethereal, emotionally-stirring interpretations of pop music, arranged with a unique blend of vocal, harp, piano and cello. This talented group, and Lakeside fan favorite, performs on Friday, July 17.
Tony Danza and his four-piece band will entertain Lakesiders with their hit show, Tony Danza: Standards & Stories, on Saturday, July 18. Combining timeless music with wit, charm, storytelling and a dash of soft shoe and ukulele performances, Danza performs a selection of his favorite standards from the Great American Songbook while interweaving stories about his life and personal connection to the music.
On Friday, July 24, three-time Grammy winner Debby Boone takes Lakesiders on a musical journey, singing everything from pop, country, Broadway and jazz. With her warmth and personal style, she weaves in sto
ries of her famous family and the show business royalty she has been privileged to work with throughout her incredible career.
Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley of the band America return to Lakeside for an unforgettable evening of rock on Saturday, July 25. Their timeless hits, “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Sister Golden Hair” and more, were cornerstones of 1970s Top 40 radio, but continue to delight audiences still today.
The Lakeside Symphony Orchestra (LSO), under the direction of Daniel Meyer, opens its 57th summer of residency at Lakeside. From Tuesday, July 28-Friday, Aug. 14, join us for five classical music performances, one youth concert based on the book Where the Wild Things, and one family concert. David Victor, formerly of the band Boston, features the greatest hits of the iconic band and original songs in a blazing show on Saturday, Aug. 1. The concert includes instantly recognizable hits, like “More Than A Feeling,” “Peace of Mind” and their No. 1 smash hit from 1986, “Amanda.”
On Saturday, Aug. 8, contemporary Christian band We Are Messengers makes their Lakeside debut. Spreading the message of God’s love through music, the group performs the hits “Maybe It’s Ok,” “Everything Comes Alive,” “Magnify” and “Point to You.”
Grammy Award-winning Blood, Sweat & Tears returns to Lakeside on Saturday, Aug. 15 with new lead singer Keith Paluso from “The Voice” for an unforgettable evening of classic hits. For more than five decades, this iconic band has entertained audiences across the world, unleashing a wave of chart-toppers like “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” “And When I Die” and “Spinning Wheel.”
The country a cappella sensation and Lakeside fan favorite, Home Free, returns to the Hoover stage on Saturday, Aug. 22. As part of their Dive Bar Saints World Tour, these Southern gentlemen perform new music, including “Leave This Town,” Catch Me If You Can” and “Dreamer.”
On Saturday, Sept. 5, Billy McGuigan’s Pop Rock Orchestra, a high-energy concoction of unique rock & roll hits, closes Lakeside’s exciting summer concert series at 7:30 p.m., followed by a spectacular display of fireworks along the lakefront.
Purchasing a Daily, Peak, Friday, Saturday or Season Chautauqua Pass includes admission to Lakeside Chautauqua and all shows in Hoover Auditorium, plus additional benefits. A separate ‘ticket’ is not necessary to attend a show or concert. As always, kids age 12 & under and guests over age 90 are free. Parking is an additional fee. A Daily, Peak, Friday or Saturday Chautauqua Pass valid for the day of admission until 7 p.m. the following day. Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes may be purchased online below or upon entering the gates of Lakeside.
The doors to Hoover Auditorium open a half-hour prior to the start of the show or concert. Seats are not reserved, but available on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and beverages are prohibited inside Hoover Auditorium. Please present your Chautauqua Pass upon entering and exiting Hoover Auditorium and the Lakeside Chautauqua gates.
