On July 11, the 46th Annual August Cup Sailing Race was held. The 10-mile course started at the Lakeside Dock to the Scott Point marker, around the American Eagle marker, then back to the Lakeside. This year, there were five participating boats, and the results are as follows:
Over 22′ Class
- Melges 24’, High Yield: Captain: Brian Brucken, Crew: Ben Brucken, Jack Brucken & Pete Mitchell
- Alberg 30’, Halcyon: Captain: Mike Shoffner, Crew: John Mueller & Tim Graham
- Hunter 33’, Erie Spirit: Captain: Ed Caner, Crew: Laurie Caner, Beth Hall, Simon Murphy& Ryan Claassen
