The Stewardship and Financial Wellness Conference returns to Lakeside Chautauqua, August 10–12, offering an inspiring opportunity for both clergy and laity to deepen their understanding of faithful stewardship.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of the Lakeside community, this gathering will equip participants with practical tools, fresh perspectives, and meaningful connections to strengthen financial leadership within their congregations.
In partnership with Church Foundations, the conference brings together experienced voices and thoughtful guidance to explore how generosity, sustainability, and mission can thrive together. Whether you are new to stewardship or looking to expand your impact, this experience will inform, energize, and empower your work.

Keynote Presenter: The keynote presenter will be the Rev. Dr. Stan Copeland, head of “Church Difference Makers,” and former 27-year Senior Pastor of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, one of the most prominent congregations in the denomination. Please note that while Stan has impressive credentials (his church raised $55 million in 5 capital campaigns and he grew the endowment from $2.2 to $30 million), he is a very down-to-earth guy, and the principles he lives by and shares are applicable to congregations and ministry settings of all sizes. Copeland will be leading a dialogue about “The stewardship streams to generosity.”
Registration: Registration for the Stewardship & Financial Wellness Conference is $395 before May 1, which includes two overnights, five meals and conference registration. After May 1, the registration fee is $445. If your spouse or partner is visiting during the conference, you can purchase the meals and admissions to Lakeside for $195.
