At the end of August 2025, Lakeside staff conducted a preconstruction meeting to review the Phase 1 Streets Project plan and timeline.
September: Preconstruction Work
On September 5, contractors will begin work on the sidewalks and drainage and install work zone signage in the Phase 1 area. Some equipment will be staged around Cherry Park and at the Train Station. Lakesiders are encouraged to keep a safe distance from the equipment as the site is prepared. View the Phase 1 Map.
October: Mill & Fill
Mill and fill work is scheduled for October 7-31, 2025. First, contractors will begin with East and West Streets. North and South Streets will follow. This schedule is more efficient for the contractors. Contractors will skip streets so that cottage owners can access their property from a nearby street. According to the construction timeline, contractors will work about six total days on mill and fill.
November & Spring: Post-Construction Work
In November, contractors will adjust the manholes. Seeding will take place in spring 2026.
