If you’ve been looking for ways to get involved and support the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra (LSO), one ongoing area of need is housing for LSO musicians during the summer season.
Many musicians rent cottages for the duration of the LSO season, while others who perform for part of the season and cannot commute need accommodations for just a few nights around rehearsals and concerts. Because most Lakeside cottage rentals operate Saturday to Saturday, short-term housing can be especially challenging.
In the past, generous cottage owners have offered rooms or entire cottages, sometimes at a discounted rate or free of charge, to help meet this need. If you would like to get involved by making a room or cottage available, please email Matthew Charboneau, Director of Performing Arts & Entertainment, at [email protected]. He’s compiling a housing resource list that will be shared with LSO musicians seeking accommodations
Musicians will contact cottage owners directly to discuss details such as rates, available dates and logistics. Matt’s role is simply to organize and share the list as a resource.
The 2026 LSO season runs from Saturday, July 25 through Friday, Aug. 7. If you’d like to participate, email [email protected] with the subject line “LSO Cottage Resource” and include the following information:
