The Lakeside Association Board of Directors has up to four vacancies for a three-year term beginning April 1, 2026. Applications will be accepted beginning October 15, 2025, and ending November 15, 2025. The vote takes place at the annual meeting of the Board in February 2026.
In addition, the Board will vote at the annual meeting on one ex officio Director (with a vote) for the LPOA proposed Director for a term also beginning April 1, 2026.
The Board meets four times a year, twice in person and twice virtually. Directors are also assigned to committees that will meet periodically throughout the year. All Lakesiders who have an interest in The Lakeside Association governance are encouraged to apply. Cottage ownership is helpful but not required. Campground residents, visitors, and renters are also encouraged to apply. The Board aspires to have Directors representative of the breadth of the Lakeside experience.
Applicants must demonstrate a passion for the Lakeside mission and a commitment to teamwork. Supporting The Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation, each to one’s own ability, is expected. Directors are asked to acknowledge a duty to maintain confidentiality with appropriate information, as well as a willingness to communicate with the public with other Board information. Directors annually commit to act in good faith in their Board duties and to disclose any conflict of interest. Finally, Directors are subject to a successful background check prior to election.
