The Lakeside Association is establishing a new task force, including community members, Board members and staff, to develop mission and business cases for capital improvements. The cases will be used to support components of various fundraising efforts, including Capital Campaign proposals for consideration by the Lakeside Association and Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation Boards, “Giving Tuesday” projects, grant proposals and other tools that are utilized.
Phase I involves collecting, cataloguing and organizing numerous data sources of building condition information and initial projections of maintenance and capital improvement needs.
For Phase I, we’re seeking Lakesiders with experience in the following areas:
- Building maintenance
- Architecture
- Building useful life analysis
- Structural engineering
- Construction cost estimation
- Energy efficiency analysis
- Building utilities (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
- ADA Compliance evaluation
- Financial/ROI analysis & projections
- Space planning (flexible, multi-purpose uses, etc.)
- Historic preservation
If you’re interested in being on the Task Force – Phase I Facility Assessment and Projections Team, email Doug Adams at do**@pr*************.biz and provide the following:
- Name & contact information (email & phone)
- List of experience related to the items above
- Level of time availability (for example: 1-3 hrs./wk, 4-8 hrs./wk, 8+ hrs./wk)
- How much time will you be in Lakeside from August-October & November-March
Phase II will likely be organized in early 2025 and will focus on specific constituent groups (e.g.: young families, youth, performing arts, flexible meeting spaces, athletics, retail spaces, etc.). If you’re interested in constituent-specific group input on facility uses, please let Adams know via email (indicating Phase II interest and the specific type of group you’re interested in), and we will contact you when they are organized.
